2024: Played in all 13 games… Totaled 18 tackles 14 of which were solo… Best game was against Weber St. on Nov. 11 where he recorded five solo tackles.

Prior to Northern Arizona: Al Ashford III joins the Lumberjacks from Utah State where he played one season at cornerback. Ashford played in all 13 games for the Aggies and finished the year with four tackles, two of which came at San Jose State. Before heading to USU, Ashford played two seasons at Wisconsin. After redshirting his freshman year, he appeared in four games on special teams before his season was cut short due to an injury.
 
Ashford was named a three-star recruit coming out of Cherry Creek High School by 247Sports, ESPN.com and Rivals.com. He earned first team All-State honors and was the 14^th best prospect out of Colorado. The Bruins went 44-1 during his prep career and won back-to-back state titles as a junior and a senior. He racked up 59 tackles, seven interceptions, 23 pass breakups, six forced fumbles and two touchdowns while at Cherry Creek.
