Chaz Davis enters his third season with the Northern Arizona football program, and his second season as the director of player personnel, after working with the program’s recruiting and operations in his first year as a graduate assistant. In his role for the Lumberjacks, Davis assists in all aspects of football operations, recruiting and player personnel for the NAU football program.

Prior to joining NAU, Davis served as a video operations assistant at Georgia. In his role for the Bulldogs, Davis assisted with the filming of practices and games, as well as prepared film of opponents for scouting. During game days, Davis also assisted in the program’s recruiting lounge. 

During his time as an undergraduate, Davis interned with Fox Sports and ABC7 in Los Angeles. For Fox Sports, Davis’ duties included logging live sporting events for FOX, FS1, FS2 and the web while also cutting highlights and writing shot-sheets for on-air talent. For ABC7, Davis reported on sporting events across the Los Angeles area while also helping prepare shows and programs.

Graduating from Georgia in May 2020, Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with minors in sports management and public policy as well as a sports media certificate. He’s now pursuing a master’s in communication at NAU.
