Louie Ramirez

• Louie Ramirez is in his first season with the Northern Arizona football program working with recruiting and assisting on the offensive side of the football.
• Prior to NAU, Ramirez was the running backs coach at Truman State and assistant special teams coordinator. Ramirez coached Jordan Salima to First Team All-GLVC honors with over 1,000 all-purpose yards. Truman State won the 2016 GLVC Conference Championship finishing with an overall record of 8-3.
• Ramirez comes to NAU with high school ties in the state of Arizona having coached at Mesquite High School in 2014 coaching the running backs under head coach Jim Jones. Also, in 2013 Ramirez was at Marcos De Niza under head coach Roy Lopez where he was an offensive line assistant and special teams coach.
• While pursuing his undergraduate degree at Arizona State, Ramirez was a student assistant for the 2011-12 football season.
• Ramirez graduated with a degree in Communications from Arizona State in 2015. He earned his Master’s degree in Leadership Truman State in 2017 and is currently pursing his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from NAU.
