Alexandra Fowler

Alexandra Fowler joined the NAU men's basketball staff as the team's Director of Basketball Operations in July 2021. In July of 2024, Fowler was promoted to Chief of Staff/Director of Basketball Operations at Northern Arizona.

Fowler arrived in Flagstaff following five years at Michigan State in a variety of roles, most recently as the Director of Operations for the Spartans' men's and women's soccer teams since 2019. She coordinated team travel and organized logistics for special events, in addition to serving as the liaison between the coaching staffs and the internal and external departments.

Fowler held that role simultaneously while also serving as the Sport Operations Coordinator going back to 2017. In that role, she assisted the executive staff and sport administrators in oversight of all 25 Michigan State varsity sports.

Previously, Fowler worked as a graduate assistant with the Michigan State women's basketball team, serving as the recruiting operations assistant, Director of the MVP Ball Club, and assistant to the director of basketball operations. Also included in her responsibilities with the Spartan basketball team were assisting the coaching staff in daily basketball operations, creating and updating scouting reports, and serving as the assistant director for the 2017 summer basketball camp.

Elected a team captain her freshman year, Fowler was a four-year student-athlete at Saginaw Valley State University and helped lead her team to a North Division GLIAC Championship in her final season. As an active member on campus, she served as the President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and as a member on the Gender Equity Committee and the Student Association President's Cabinet.

Fowler graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts in communication from Saginaw Valley State in 2016 and received her master's of science from Michigan State in 2017.

Fowler is married to Chris Fowler, and the pair has two children, Christopher and Kylar.
