Andrew Ludwig enters his first season with the Lumberjacks after being named Director of Basketball Operations on the NAU men's basketball staff on August 5th, 2019. Ludwig handles all operational duties for the Lumberjacks, including practice preparation, travel planning, and overall logistics. 
 
He brings three years of previous experience in collegiate sports operations after serving as the assistant director of football operations at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (2017-19) and as the director of football operations at Arizona Christian University (2016-17).
 
Ludwig was a part of the Wisconsin-Whitewater team that captured the 2018 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Conference championship and advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division III Football Playoffs. Ludwig brings eight years of coaching experience to NAU, including three at the college level. Along with his years of coaching and operations, Ludwig has also been a volunteer for Special Olympics teams in Wisconsin, where he coached and managed track & field and basketball teams from 2010 to 2014. 
 
Ludwig, a native of Franklin, Wisconsin, earned his bachelor's degree in exceptional education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2013 and is currently pursuing a master's in business administration. He was a special education teacher in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 2013 to 2016.
