Tim Russo enters his fourth season as assistant coach for the Northern Arizona Men's Basketball program in 2026-27.
 
Russo grew up around the game of basketball, knowing quickly after high school that he wanted to coach, he made his impact as a student assistant coach for the Division II program at the University of Tampa for the Men’s Basketball program from 2017-21. In 2021 Russo graduated with his bachelor’s degree in sports management.
 
Russo’s next journey came for the powerhouse program at UCONN where he joined the basketball program as a Graduate Assistant. In 2023, the Huskies made their run in the NCAA tournament, claiming victories against Iona, Saint Mary’s, Arkansas, Gonzaga, Miami, and San Diego State to claim the championship title for the fifth time in program history.
 
Russo is the son of Jeanne and Chris Russo, and has three siblings, Kiera, Colin, and Patrick.
