Cassandra Hatcher was hired by Associate Athletic Director Monica Jaenicke and Deputy Athletic Director Uri Farkas as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in May of 2023 to work primarily with Women's Soccer, Men's Basketball, and Men's Tennis. Hatcher began her time with NAU's athletic communications office in 2019 as a student intern under Stayson Isobe, becoming a graduate assistant in 2021. As a graduate assistant, Hatcher's primary sports were Women's Soccer, Women's Swimming and Diving, and Men's Tennis, while also serving as the secondary contact for football. Hatcher covered six conference championships as a graduate assistant for swimming and diving, tennis, soccer, and women's basketball as she stepped into the interim role in the Spring of 2023. Cassandra is originally from Apple Valley, California and received her Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communications with an emphasis in public relations in May of 2021, along with a Master's degree in Educational Leadership in Higher Education in May of 2023, both coming from Northern Arizona University.
