In the Spring of 2024, Kees Grondstra earned his new title, Director of Olympic Strength and Conditioning. Grondstra joined the NAU Strength & Conditioning staff in January of 2021 as a graduate assistant. Coach Grondstra is currently working primarily with Men's Basketball and Vollyeball.

Grondstra most recently spent time interning at Rice University working directly with football. He has also interned for the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club where he was a part of their sports science team. Prior to starting his career in the collegiate setting, Grondstra spent time working in the private sector in Tampa, Fla. at the Applied Science and Performance Institute.

Grondstra attended Springfield College where he played football while earning a bachelor's in Applied Exercise Science. He holds his NSCA - CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) and is CPR and AED Certified.

Grondstra graduate with a master's in educational leadership at Northern Arizona University.
