Meghan Hamel

Meghan Hamel is a graduate assistant for the Northern Arizona women's basketball program after joining the Lumberjacks in the summer of 2019.

Hamel was a four-year member of the Puget Sound women's basketball team from 2015-19, where she played for NAU head coach Loree Payne during her first two seasons with the Loggers. Hamel played in 72 career games and in her final two seasons, she shot a combined 52.8 percent from the field. During her sophomore season, she was part of Puget Sound's record-breaking season, which included a school record 26 wins and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Originally from Murrieta, Calif., Hamel previously volunteered with the girl's basketball team at Murrieta Mesa High School. She graduated from Puget Sound with a bachelor's degree in business and history and is currently pursuing her master's degree at NAU in human relations.
