Mike Thigpin joined the NAU women's basketball staff as the team's Director of Operations in the summer of 2018. In his role with the Lumberjacks, Thigpin coordinates all aspects of team travel, including meals, flights and accommodations. 

Thigpin previously served as the Director of Basketball Operations at Boston University from December 2017 after being elevated from his role as Assistant Director of Operations and Video Coordinator. At Boston, where he originally started in the fall of 2016, Thigpin managed all facets of the program including team scheduling, event planning, compliance, housing and game day operations. He also had a hand in Boston's social media.

Thigpin got his start at Dixie State University where he was involved in game day operations during the 2015-16 academic year assisting with various tasks at football, basketball, volleyball, soccer and baseball games.

Following his second year with the program, Thigpin earned a master's degree in human relations from NAU. He earned his bachelor's degree in communication studies from Dixie State in May 2018. Thigpin also holds a certificate in alcoholism & drug counseling from Fresno City College.
