2022-23 (Senior): Finished season with a 6-5 overall record in doubles, playing with three different partners…Finished 3-3 in conference doubles play…Saw a 5-1 record at No. 3 spot in doubles…Finished season with 4-1 record at No. 3 when playing with Ava Neyestani, pairing saw 3-0 conference record at No. 3…Defeated No. 53 Colorado State’s top doubles pairing 6-4 along with Ana Karen Guadiana Campos to clinch doubles point…Clinched doubles point against Montana with Ava Neyestani with 6-3 win at No. 3…Clinched doubles point against Weber State in Big Sky Championship Finals with 6-2 win at No. 3 with Daryna Shoshyna.
2021-22 (Junior): All-Big Sky Second Team in singles and All-Big Sky First Team in doubles with Annabel Davis... Named Big Sky Women’s Tennis Player of the Week on March 29... Finished the season with a 7-4 record in singles and a 5-5 record in doubles... Singles record included a 6-3 record on Court 2 and a 4-1 record in the Big Sky Conference’s regular season... Recorded a 5-5 record overall in doubles during the spring, including a 5-3 record with Davis... Earned a 4-1 record in doubles with Davis against the Big Sky, with all 5 matches at No. 1... Beat Idaho State’s Hana Cho and Lola O’Lideadha 6-3 at No. 1 in the Big Sky Conference semifinals... Led Arizona’s Salma Ziouti and Midori Castillo-Meza 5-2 on Court 1 with Gina Dittmann before the match was left unfinished... Played at No. 1 in doubles against No. 11 California during the NCAA Tournament with Ellie Millard.
2020-21 (Sophomore): All-Big Sky First Team in singles and doubles as the Lumberjack won a second straight Big Sky Conference title... Recorded a 14-3 record in singles play, reaching a 12-match win streak during the season... Also finished the season on a five-match win streak in doubles with partner Ellie Millard... Finished the season 13-1 on Court 3, while also going 1-1 at No. 2 and 0-1 at No. 4... Finished 3-0 during the regular season against Big Sky competition... Wrapped up the 4-0 victory against New Mexico with the clinching victory at No. 3... Along with Millard, clinched the doubles point in both matches of a doubleheader against Dixie State, as well as against UTEP... Beating Portland State 7-5 at the Big Sky Conference Tournament, the pairing also clinched the point in the semifinals... Finished 9-8 with Millard, playing all 17 matches at No. 1... Went 2-1 against the Big Sky in doubles... Closed out the season on a five-match win streak beginning on April 10 at UTEP... Went unfinished against No. 5 Pepperdine in the NCAA Tournament with the match tied at 4-4.
2019-20 (Freshman): Stepped in at No. 1 in doubles as a freshman with Adrianna Sosnowska... Pair finished the spring with a 5-2 record, including a 2-0 Big Sky Conference record... During the fall and invitational season, Bland and Sosnowska combined for a 12-3 record and Reached No. 25 in the Oracle ITA National Fall Rankings... Finished as the runner-up at the ITA Mountain Regional Championships with Sosnowska... Upset Georgia’s No. 19 pairing in the first round of the ITA National Fall Championships... Earned her first career Big Sky Women’s Tennis Player of the Week award following a perfect record in the season-opening Weinman Foundation Invitational in Hawaii... Finished 3-1, 1-0 in Big Sky play, in singles during the spring, including 2-1 at No. 5 and 1-1 at No. 6... Also went 2-2 in doubles with Elinor Beazley during the fall season as well as 10-4 in singles play
High School: Won both the singles and doubles championships at the Junior International Edinburgh tournament in Edinburgh, Great Britain in 2018...Compiled a 9-2 singles record and 10-1 doubles record in 2018 according to the ITF...Also competes in lacrosse, discus and rounders...Helped team reach the semifinals in lacrosse at nationals...Part of county-winning tennis, lacrosse and rounders teams.
Personal: Emily Bland was born June 14 in Kingston, UK...Daughter of Heather Bland...Has one older sister, Imogen...Hobbies include playing lacrosse and netball...Most exciting event was going to watch the Wimbledon Championships...Chose NAU because of the coaches, team and facilities.
