Brooke Andersen was named the USTFCCCA Division I Women's National Athlete of the Week, becoming the first Lumberjack ever to receive the honor during the outdoor season. Her honor came after she shattered the meet, school and Big Sky Conference record in the hammer throw with a best toss of 70.98m at Arizona State's Baldy Castillo Invitational on Friday, March 16. She eclipsed the 70-meter mark for the first time in her career and her throw ranks as the sixth-best mark in NCAA history. Andersen also received Big Sky Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors.
