Las Vegas, Nev. (October 17, 2018) – Northern Arizona Men's Tennis came into the third day of the ITA Mountain Regionals with
Lucas Taylor still in the singles consolation bracket and the duo pair of
Tim Handel and
Ruben Montano in the doubles main draw.
Taylor entered the day in the second round of the singles consolation bracket where he was taking on Mattia Ros of Denver University. Against Ros, Taylor was able to beat him in back-to-back sets 6-4 and 6-4. With this win Taylor will move onto the semi-finals where he will take on Pedro Fernandez of Denver University.
The Lumberjacks are also finding success in the ITA Mountain Regionals in the doubles main draw with Handel and Montano. The pair was able to squeak out a win in the first round by a score of 8-7. In the second round Handel and Montano took down Stijn de Haan and Mauri Benitez of New Mexico State University easily by a score of 8-3. With the win the 'Jacks double pair will move into the third round where they will match off against Eric Samuelsson and Clayton Alenik of UNLV.
