FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Nov. 15, 2018) – The Northern Arizona men's basketball team has inked Isaiah Lewis to a National Letter of Intent for the 2019-20 season, NAU head coach
Jack Murphy announced on Thursday.
Lewis, a 6'6" left-handed forward out of Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas, averaged 12.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game during his junior prep season, while helping guide the Rangers to a 20-13 overall record. He tallied 15 points and nine rebounds in the opening game of his senior campaign on Tuesday night.
"Isaiah is a great addition to our program," Murphy said. "He comes from a fantastic high school program and has been pushed to be successful both academically and athletically. On the court his multi-dimensional skill set can allow for a lot of creativity in the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. We couldn't be more excited to welcome Isaiah to the Lumberjack family!"
Lewis has played varsity basketball during all four seasons at Lone Star High School and registered double-figure points in nine games as a junior and 13 times during his prep career.
