PHOENIX, Ariz. (November 2, 2018) – The Northern Arizona Men's Tennis Team kicked off the GCU Invitational on Nov. 2. The Lumberjacks competed in both singles, and doubles matches in the dual meet. In single matches, the 'Jacks took on Grand Canyon University while in doubles the team took on Arizona Christian University and Mesa Community College.
In singles, NAU had a tough day as none of its players were able to win a solo match while in doubles the 'Jacks were able to win two of their three matches.
Lucas Taylor and
Facundo Tumosa were able to defeat Jesse Miritello and Enzo Douillac of ACU by a score of 6-3. Northern Arizona's other winning pair was
Ron Idzon and
Daniel Dillon who defeated Jorge Sala Frigeri and Pabst of MCC by a score of 6-0.
Northern Arizona will be back in action tomorrow Nov. 3 to continue the Grand Canyon Invitational.
