Grand Canyon Invitational Update Two

Lumberjacks go 5-1 in singles

PHOENIX, Ariz. (November 3, 2018) – The Northern Arizona men's tennis team continued its matches in the Grand Canyon Invitational on Saturday in Phoenix, Ariz., competing in six singles matches, and three doubles matches.  

In the first day of the invitational NAU had struggled in singles going 0-6  but found success in doubles going 2-1.

On day two of the Grand Canyon Invitational, the 'Jacks players were solid on the singles side posting an overall record of 5-1.  Lucas Taylor, Facundo Tumosa, Ron Idzon, and Daniel Dillon all won their matches in two sets, while David Nguyen won his match in three sets.

Northern Arizona's duos didn't find as much success on the day as they went 1-2.  The lone win in doubles was Idzon and Dillion who were able to take down Langdon and Fine of ACU 6-3. 

The Lumberjacks will be back in action tomorrow Nov. 4 to continue the Grand Canyon Invitational.
