Women's Soccer Coach Andre Luciano Resigns After 18 Seasons

 
Dear Skyjacks, Letter Winners and Friends of NAU Athletics,
 
Earlier this week I received a letter of resignation from Andre Luciano, NAU women's soccer coach of 18 years.  I've accepted his letter of resignation and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.
 
In his letter, Andre described with pride more than just the success of his soccer team.  He expressed his appreciation of the academic performance and spirit of student-athletes he has coached.  Most importantly, he described a sense of enormous pride in what soccer alumni have done with their lives.  In his words:  "I have seen countless alumni from the soccer program become doctors, teachers and career women as well as tremendous spouses, mothers and members of their community.  I leave with no regrets from NAU."  Andre also expressed a sense of excitement to pursue other opportunities.
 
We will begin a search immediately for Coach Luciano's successor and will move as quickly as possible to find the right fit for our soccer program.
 
Please join me in thanking Andre for his years of service to NAU, the four Big Sky Conference championships, three NCAA Tournaments and his dedication to the sport of soccer!
