Flagstaff. Ariz. (February 16, 2019) – Northern Arizona's women's golf program will be heading to Las Vegas, Nev., on Feb. 18
th and 19
th to compete in the Rebel Beach Invitational hosted by UNLV and Long Beach State for its first tournament of the 2019 spring season.

The event will be held at the Spanish Trail Country Club which features a Par of 72 on a 6,355 yard course.

16 teams will be representing their schools at the Invitational. Teams joining the 'Jacks, Rebels and 49ers will include Arizona, BYU, Charlotte, Colorado State, Colorado, Fresno State, UNR, New Mexico, UC Irvine, Oregon, Virginia, New Mexico State and San Jose State.

The 16 team field will be participating in a 54-hole tournament. Participants will be playing in threesomes. Pairings for each round will be determined by team score. The low four individuals will determine the team scores for each round. Both days are set to start with a Shotgun Start with 36 holes being played on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.

Brad Bedortha. "We have had some good weeks of practice and now it's time to get back into competition. The field in Las Vegas is very strong and it will be a huge challenge for us. I look forward to seeing how we respond to the challenge and believe that we play to this tournaments to get out of our comfort zone, and learn and grow from the experience."

Arizona and Virginia are both currently ranked in the top-25 for NCAA Division I women's golf, with the Wildcats at ninth and Cavaliers at 16
th.
