The doubles point was the Lumberjacks' first point scored against the Wildcats since 2013 after being shut out on the scoreboard in each of the previous five years.
NAU hosts Mesa Community College and New Mexico State at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. respectively on Friday in its home openers in the Aquatic and Tennis Complex. The Lumberjacks' home opening weekend will continue on Sunday at 10 a.m. versus Utah State.
