FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (June 14, 2019) – The Northern Arizona women's tennis team's incoming freshman class received recognition on Friday ranking ninth on TennisRecruiting.net's Top-25 Mid-Major Women's Recruiting Classes for 2019. The Lumberjacks were the only Big Sky school on the list.

Ewa Bogusz is bringing in two highly-rated Lumberjacks to join the defending Big Sky Champions in Mimi Bland and Elinor Beazley this upcoming fall.
Bland hails from Harpenden, England where she won both the singles and doubles championships at the Junior International Edinburgh tournament last year. According to the International Tennis Federation, Bland registered a 9-2 singles record and 10-1 doubles record in 2018.
Beazley, a Swansea, Wales native, heads to Flagstaff after winning the consolation event at the British National Junior Championships – the top junior event in Great Britain – last year. In 2017, Beazley was a five-time champion at the Welsh Championships including sweeping the singles and doubles titles in both the U16 and U18 groups.
The two incoming freshmen will join five of NAU's top six players from their championship roster for the 2019-20 season.
