FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (June 9, 2019) - The Northern Arizona University golf program has released its schedule for the 2019 fall and 2020 spring seasons. The 'Jacks will be competing in five tournaments in the fall and spring with Big Sky Conference Championships occurring from April 20th-22nd, 2020.
The fall season will see four tournaments the Lumberjacks golfed at during the 2018 campaign. NAU will open the year at the same tournament it did in 2018 at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic hosted by Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on September 9-10. Later that month they will travel to Idaho for the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invitational hosted by Gonzaga University from the 23rd to the 24th.
October has the 'Jacks appearing in three tournaments across the Southern U.S. From the seventh to the ninth of October NAU will be golfing in the Land of Enchantment for the Aggie Invitational in Las Cruces, N.M., hosted by New Mexico State University. Northern Arizona will make its way to Lakewood Ranch, Fla., for the 42nd Annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational hosted by Florida International University from the 20th to the 22nd, with that tournament being the only one on the fall schedule that NAU did not compete in last fall. The 'Jacks will close out the 2019 fall season in Boulder City, Nev., at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown hosted by UNLV from the 27th to the 29th.
The spring season looks to have NAU competing in Arizona three times during the regular season and once during Big Sky Conference Championships. On February 17th the Lumberjacks will open the spring season at the Rebel Beach Intercollegiate tournament, which will be co-hosted by UNLV and Long Beach State in Las Vegas. Three days after that the 'Jacks will head south on Interstate-17 for the Grand Canyon Invitational hosted by GCU from February 22nd-23rd in Phoenix. NAU's last tournament outside of the Grand Canyon State will take place from March 9th-10th in Fairfax, Calif., at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational co-hosted by the University of San Fransisco and San Jose State.Â
On March 21st-22nd NAU will host its lone home tournament at the Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Ariz. They will close out the 2020 spring season at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Ariz., on April 6th-7th before competing in the conference championships in Scottsdale, Ariz., from April 20th-22nd.Â
"I am really excited about our schedule for he upcoming fall and spring seasons," said head women's golf coach
