Final Time Schedule
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (January 23, 2020) - Northern Arizona University will be represented by four men's long distance athletes at this weekends Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic. The quartet of Lumberjacks will be competing in Friday evenings Men's 5K race at 7:30 P.M. (CT).
Like the Men's Mile at last weekends Lumberjack Team Challenge the 'Jacks will be reunited and running against former All-American and three-time national championship team member Matthew Robert Baxter. Baxter, now a professional runner, will take on the student-athletes he once toed the line with in a 5K race that will also feature other running professionals such as Eric Jenkins and Paul Tanui.
During outdoors last season Beamish, Day and Grijalva all qualified for NCAA Championships along with
Brodey Hasty in the 5K. This will be the first time during the 2020 indoor campaign that the four Lumberjack runners will compete in the 5K.Â
NAU's entire indoor track & field program will take the next weekend off while the men's distance team travels to Boston. The 'Jacks will return on Jan. 31st - Feb. 1st for the Mountain T's Invite, the third of four home indoor meets for the Lumberjacks.Â
