EUGENE, Ore. (June 12, 2025) –
The Northern Arizona track and field team capped another successful day at the NCAA DI Outdoor Championships, which are being held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

For the second-straight season, Maggi Congdon is on to the 1,500-meter finals. She easily won her heat with a time of 4:11.04, finishing eighth overall.

At last year's NCAA Outdoor Championships, she placed ninth in the 1,500-meters and this year she placed third at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the mile. Congdon punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships by winning the 1,500-meters with a time of 4:05.73 at the NCAA West Preliminary Round, setting a new school record and a facility record with a mark that ranks eighth all-time in NCAA history.

The 1,500-meter finals take place at 6:11 p.m. Mountain Standard time on Saturday, June 14.

Karrie Baloga is also on to the finals of the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the second-straight season after placing third in her heat and eighth overall. She ran a three-second personal best, breaking her own school record for the second-straight meet with a time of 9:37.93. The sophomore came up just short of the Big Sky Conference record of 9:37.48 set in 2021 by Summer Allen of Weber State.

Baloga will look to improve on an eighth-place finish at last year's championships. The finals are set for 6:24 p.m. MST on Saturday, June 14.

LiNay Perry capped an outstanding outdoor season with a 20th place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, earning an Honorable Mention All-American nod with a time of 58.33.

Perry broke her own school record several times this season, including running 56.70 at the NCAA West Preliminary Round to become the first-ever Lumberjack to advance to the NCAA Championships in the 400-meter hurdles.

Tomorrow concludes the action for the men at the NCAA Championships. David Mullarkey and Drew Bosley will toe the line in the 5,000-meters at 6:55 p.m. MST on ESPN2 and ESPN+. The duo already competed in the 10,000-meters yesterday, with Mullarkey earning First Team All-American honors with a sixth-place finish and Bosley placed 20th.
