FARMINGTON, Utah (January 24, 2020) – The Northern Arizona football, volleyball, soccer and men's and women's cross country teams combined for 40 Fall Big Sky All-Academic awards in a release by the conference office on Friday. The 40 Lumberjacks were part of a record 593 student-athlete honorees across the conference for the fall season.
To be eligible for Big Sky All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Participated in at least half of the team's competitions; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution.
The soccer program produced a department-high 16 Big Sky All-Academic selections, while the men's cross country and football teams had seven honorees each. The women's cross country program had six awardees and the volleyball team rounded out the department's honorees with four selections.
A total of 28 of NAU's 40 Fall All-Academic selections hold cumulative GPAs of 3.50 and higher. Three student-athletes – cross country's

Aaron Andrews earned Academic All-District First Team honors in the fall. Stomp also garnered Academic All-American Third Team honors.
