COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (January 29, 2020) – After posting a fall semester GPA of 3.52, the Northern Arizona swimming & diving team was one of 762 teams honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The Lumberjacks received the Scholar All-America Team Award for the Fall 2019 semester and tied for 50th out of 182 programs with eight other schools, amongst Tulane, Pennsylvania, and Alabama.
The 762 men's and women's swimming & diving teams represented 480 institutions and were honored for posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher for the semester. Since 2006, the Lumberjacks' have carried a team GPA of 3.20 or better at the end of the semester streak.
NAU had 30 student-athletes record a GPA of 3.0 or better in the fall with nine completing a perfect 4.0 semester GPA.
A total of 30 student-athletes are at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, 18 have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, and of those 18, six have a cumulative GPA of 4.0.
