WAC Tabs NAU Diving’s Victoria Knapp as Athlete of the Week

DENVER, Colo. (February 9, 2021) – Northern Arizona Freshman diver, Victoria Knapp, has received her second Western Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week award for the 2020-21 season.

NAU hosted their final regular season diving competition this past weekend against San Diego State and fellow WAC competitor, Idaho. In the two-day meet, Knapp received high marks on all boards.

After collecting two top-three dives in both the 1-meter (3rd, 285.65) and 3-meter (1st, 319.10), Knapp went onto finish fourth on the platform (231.45). With all three dives, the freshman from Mesa, Ariz., posted NCAA Zone qualifying score.

With the regular season wrapped up, the two-time honoree and NCAA qualifier will work towards competing in the WAC Diving Championships, hosted by NAU Feb. 25-27.
