FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (April 13, 2022) - The Northern Arizona track and field program will travel to California this week, splitting its time between the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational, the Long Beach State Pacific Coast Collegiate, the Long Beach State Beach Invitational and the Mt. San Antonio College Mt. Sac Relays.
Bryan Clay Invitational (April 13-15)
Jenna McCaffrey and Aiden Barnhill will open up the week, respectively competing Wednesday night at 6:45 P.M. (PT) and 7:45 P.M. (PT) in the women's and men's 3,000-meter steeplechase.Â
On Thursday,
Randy Espinoza will participate in one section of the men's 5K at 8:15 A.M. whileÂ
Melanie Loff and
Maggi Congdon will prepare to run the women's 800-meter at 2:55 P.M. (PT).
Later that evening, between 8:40 and 10:33 P.M. (PT),

The track will continue with the men's 110-meter hurdles (10:05 A.M.) and the women's 100-meter hurdles (10:35 A.M.) as Madeline Wilson suits up for the Lumberjack women, and Tyson Givens, Karsen Burke and Wil Peralta line up for the men.Â
Later, Erick Thompson Jr. is scheduled to compete in the men's 400-meter (11:05 A.M.), followed by Synfanie Crudder in the women's 100-meter dash at 12:40 P.M. (PT); Crudder will also compete in the women's 200-meter dash (2:50 P.M.).Â
Meanwhile, Alex Alton, Tyson Givens, Ethan Seppala, Zach Schroeder and Wil Peralta will appear in the men's 400-meter hurdles (1:10 P.M.)
At 3 P.M., Butler, Peters, Miller IV, and Margolis will triple jump, while Wilson is scheduled to high jump at 4 P.M. (PT).Â
The meet will conclude after Drew Bosley, Nico Young, Abdihamid Nur, Caleb Easton, Brodey Hasty, George Kusche, Aiden Barnhill, Bryn Morley, Maggi Congdon, Elise Stearns, and Jenna McCaffrey compete in the men and women's 1500-meter run (6:40 P.M. - 9:35 P.M.).
Long Beach State Pacific Coast Collegiate (April 14) / Beach Invitational (April 15-16)
Thursday morning will begin with William Beaudry, Jacob Kaufman and Jack Murphy, in the men's hammer throw at 9 A.M. (PT); Jennifer Slater and McKenna Chaney will compete in the women's hammer throw at 12 A.M. (PT).
Later, CJ McMullen, Will Beaudry, Rudy Tapia, Jake Arnold, and Garret Bernt will compete in the men's discus at 1:15 P.M. (PT), while Matilde Roe and Carly Watts are scheduled to throw the women's discus at 3:15 P.M. (PT).Â
Roe, and Watts will also throw the women's shot put at 2:15 P.M. (PT), while Arnold, Parker Bays, Cole White, Blake Baloun, Jake Tucker, and Rudy Tapia will throw the men's shot put at 4:30 P.M. (PT).Â
On Friday, Beaudry, Kaufman and Murphy will begin the day with the men's hammer, while Piper Pfister, and Jade Kwinn participate in the women's at 9 A.M. (PT); Jennifer Slater and McKenna Chaney will throw the women's hammer at 3:15 P.M. and Trevor Hook and Clayton Zupke are scheduled to compete in the men's javelin at 3:45 P.M. (PT).Â
Saturday, the field will open with Arnold, Baloun, Bays, Tapia, andWhite in the men's shot put and Roe and Watts in the women's discus at 11 A.M. (PT).Â
Meanwhile, the track fire up with Wil Peralta and the Givens Twins in the men's 110-meter hurdles (12:18 P.M.), Miracle Onyemaobi, LiNay Perry, Kyairra Reigh, and Erick Thompson Jr. in the women's and men's 400-meter (12:48 P.M. / 1:27 P.M.), and Alyssa Colbert and Synfanie Crudder in the women's 100-meter dash at 2:03 P.M. (PT).Â
Later, Effing, Normand, Kerr, Figueroa, and Weisenberger are scheduled to triple jump (2:30 P.M. / 4:10 P.M.), while Arnold, Beaudry, McMullen, Nielsen, Tapia, Roe and Watts prepare for the men's discus and the women's shot put at 3 P.M. (PT).
The track will finish with David Dunlap, Kyle Smith and Zachary Sutton in the men's 100-meter (2:42 P.M.) and the men's 400-meter hurdles with Alex Alton, Tyson Givens, Zach Schroeder, and Ethan Seppala.Â
Mt. Sac Relays (April 15-16)
Friday will begin with the men's and women's 4x100-meter preliminary relay (11 A.M. / 11:15 A.M.), followed by
Trenton Givens in the men's 110-meter hurdles preliminary race at 12:05 P.M. (PT); the men's 110-meter hurdle final is scheduled for 2:25 P.M. (PT). Â
Next,
Alyssa Colbert,
David Dunlap,
Kyle Smith, and
Zachary Sutton will prepare to race in the preliminary women's and men's 100-meter dash (12:35 P.M. / 1:05 P.M.); Dunlap will compete in the men's 200-meter final at 5 P.M (PT) as well.Â
The women's and men's 400-meter dash will complete the meet, as Miracle Onyemaobi, Kyairra Reigh and LiNay Perry are scheduled to run at 2:30 P.M. (PT).Â
On Saturday, the Lumberjacks will compete in the men's and women's 4x100 meter relay finals (12:15 P.M. / 12:20 P.M.), Colbert will run the women's 100-meter final (1:35 P.M.), and Dunlap, Smith and Sutton will race the men's 100-meter final at 1:40 P.M. (PT).
