No. 63 NAU Returns Home to Host New Mexico

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 13, 2023) – The No. 63 Northern Arizona women's tennis team is set to host New Mexico after back-to-back road weekends.

NAU is coming off a set of conference match-ups against Idaho and Eastern Washington. The 'Jacks earned a close 4-3 victory over Idaho, in which all four points came in singles play. Ana Karen Guadiana Campos, Patrycja Niewiadomska, Ana Neyestani, and Laura Duhl each defeated their opponents to guarantee a Lumberjack win. The women swept Eastern Washington in their most dominant performance this season. Despite a dew close matches, NAU came out on top to keep their conference win streak alive.

The New Mexico Lobos are 6-1 this season, with wins over CSU-Pueblo, Colorado College, Montana State, Tyler College, Lamar, and New Mexico State. The Lobos beat NAU's Big Sky rival Montana State 4-0 earlier this season.

New Mexico's doubles pair of Leonie Hoppe and Katherine Jhang are ranked 57th in the nation. The duo has had little trouble so far this season as they occupy the top spot of the Lobos' doubles rotation.

Tomorrow's match will take place at the NAU Tennis Center beginning at 11:00 a.m. MST. Live results for the match can be found here. For updated scores and coverage of the NAU women's tennis team during the spring season, follow the team on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
