FLAGSTAFF, Ari. (March 30, 2023) – The No. 67 Northern Arizona University women's tennis team is hosting a pair of matches where they will face conference rivals Montana and Montana State.
The Lumberjacks are currently 4-0 in conference play so far this season, with wins against Weber State, Portland State, Idaho, and Eastern Washington.
In their first conference match of the season, and a rematch of last year's conference championship, NAU defeated Weber State 4-3. The 'Jacks saw strong efforts from

Ava Neyestani, and
Laura Duhl. All three went 2-0 on the day to propel the team past the Wildcats. Since their win against Weber State, NAU has gone 4-3 overall and has been undefeated in conference matchups to put them at the top of the Big Sky.
The Griz are 5-10 overall this season and 2-3 in conference play. Their conference wins have come against Montana State and Idaho. In their last match, Montana earned their first win over Idaho since 2014, defeating the Vandals 5-2. After winning their fifth-straight opening point, the Griz picked up three more points in singles play to push them to victory.
Montana State is 4-10 overall and 1-3 in conference play so far this season. They earned their only conference victory in their last match against Idaho. Despite dropping the doubles point, the Bobcats came back strong in singles play, winning on four courts to clinch the match victory.
