ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Nov. 9, 2024) – The Northern Arizona women's swimming and diving team faced off against two Western Athletic Conference opponents in a tri-meet hosted by New Mexico State, with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) also competing.
"Overall, we swam really well today, and it was great to see Elsa (Musselman) and Casey (Craffey) have success, along with our divers' strong performances," said head swimming coach Andy Johns. "New Mexico State performed really well. We are looking forward to the meets in two weeks."
Northern Arizona fell to the New Mexico State Aggies 135-165 but secured a win over UTRGV, 232-67.
Senior Casey Craffey took first place in the 1,000 free, finishing with a time of 10:05.30, four seconds ahead of her closest competitor.
Elsa Musselman won both butterfly events, recording a time of 2:00.75 in the 200 fly, followed by two teammates: Kaci Kelaher in second (2:04.28) and Rachel Lytle in third (2:09.32).
In the 100 fly, Musselman clocked in at 54.13, once again leading two fellow Lumberjacks. Gracie Munk finished second with a time of 55.59, and Kat Klatt placed third with a 56.14.
Mackenna Stocker, this week's WAC Diver of the Week, continued to impress with a score of 317.00 in the three-meter dive, taking first place.

The swimmers will next compete at the Colorado Mesa Invitational from Nov. 20-23, while the divers will host the Lumberjack Diving Invite from Nov. 21-23.
