FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 7, 2024) – The Northern Arizona University women's tennis team will begin their spring season this Friday and Sunday as they host UTEP and Wyoming.
In their final competition of the fall season, the Lumberjacks went 14-7 at the UNLV Watanabe Classic.
Patrycja Niewiadomska,
Daryna Shoshyna, and
Dolavee Tumthong all claimed victory against their opponents in singles play, while Shoshyna and
Ana Karen Guadiana Campos earned the lone doubles win.
The UTEP Miners are 1-2 so far this season, with a win over Western New Mexico University and losses to Tarleton State and Weber State. They have a match against UT Arlington before they travel to Flagstaff to take on the 'Jacks.
The Wyoming Cowgirls are 3-4 this season, with wins over Omaha, Buffalo, and UNC Greensboro. They have losses against Oklahoma, Louisiana Tech, Tulsa, and Colorado. The Cowgirls will play UTEP this weekend in a neutral site match prior to taking on the Lumberjacks.
NAU will take on the Miners this Friday, February 9 at 10 a.m. MST at the Tennis and Aquatic Center. Live results for the match can be found
