LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 1, 2024) – The NAU women's tennis team completed their first sweep of the season, defeating the Utah Tech Trailblazers 7-0.
NAU began their day with a strong showing in doubles play, with
Ana Karen Guadiana Campos and
Daryna Shoshyna dominating on court one with a 6-0 victory.
Laura Duhl and
Dolavee Tumthong pushed their match to a tiebreaker before taking the win 7-5. On court three,
Patrycja Niewiadomska and
Andrea Noguera easily took the win 6-2, securing the first point of the match for the 'Jacks.
Patrycja Niewiadomska continued to play well on court one, earning another point for NAU as she defeated her opponent 6-4, 3-6, 10-6.
Ana Karen Guadiana Campos saw an easy victory on court two, winning her match 6-1, 6-3 to add another point for the Lumberjacks.
Daryna Shoshyna saw her strong day continue, easily defeating her opponent on court three 6-2, 6-1.
Dolavee Tumthong competed on court four for NAU, scoring a point for the team after winning 6-2, 6-2.
Ava Neyestani continued NAU's strong streak as she won consecutive 6-2 sets on court five.
Andrea Noguera finished out the 'Jacks perfect day as she dominated on court six, winning 6-1, 6-2.
