NAU Women’s Tennis Hits the Road to Face Arizona State, GCU

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 11, 2024) – The NAU women's tennis team is on the road as they head to Tempe and Phoenix to face No. 30 Arizona State and No. 56 Grand Canyon.
 
The Lumberjacks are 3-5 so far this season and come into their road trip looking to push their record to .500. Last weekend, NAU opened conference play against Weber State, losing a close match 3-4.
 
The Arizona State Sun Devils are 7-6 this season, and have wins over UC Davis, UC San Diego, Fresno State, Kansas, Arkansas, Cal Poly, and No. 7 Ohio State. They have losses against No. 13 Ohio State, No. 20 San Diego, No. 1 Oklahoma State, Baylor, No. 3 Stanford, and California.
 
The Sun Devils are currently on a three-match losing streak, with their last win coming on Feb. 25.
 
The GCU Lopes are 11-2 on the season with an 8-1 record at home. Their wins have come against Missouri, UC Davis, UC San Diego, Fresno State, Arkansas, Idaho, UC Riverside, Cal Poly, North Texas, Air Force, and Colorado State. Their losses have come against Arizona and Baylor.
 
The 'Jacks will face the Sun Devils on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. MST before they take on the Lopes on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. MST. Live results for the match against GCU can be found here.
