STOCKTON, Calif. (March 22, 2024) – The NAU women's tennis team dropped their match against the Pacific Tigers 5-2.
The Lumberjacks fought hard in doubles play, with all three matches going to a tiebreaker.
Daryna Shoshyna and Dolavee Tumthing played on court one for NAU, pushing their match to a tiebreak before eventually losing 7-5.
Laura Duhl and
Patrycja Niewiadomska played on court two for the 'Jacks, defeating their opponents in a 7-6 (7-5) tiebreak.
Andrea Noguera and
Ana Karen Guadiana Campos saw a close match on court three, narrowly losing 7-6 (7-5).
Patrycja Niewiadomska saw a tough matchup on court one for singles play, dropping consecutive sets 6-1, 6-2.
Laura Duhl competed on court six for NAU, dropping her first set 6-3 and seeing her second set end at a close 3-2 due to her retiring.
Ava Neyestani fought hard on court five, dropping her match in 6-2, 6-4 sets.
Dolavee Tumthong played on court four for the 'Jacks, losing her match in consecutive 6-4 sets.
Ana Karen Guadiana Campos dropped her first set 6-3 before bouncing back to win her next two sets 6-4, 10-6 to earn the first point of the day for NAU.
Daryna Shoshyna dopped her first set 6-2 before winning consecutive 6-2, 6-2 sets to earn the second point of the day.
