PALO ALTO, Calif. (March 29. 2024) – The NAU track & field team saw a strong day of competition at the Stanford Invitational, seeing the women's 10,000-meter school record broken.
In section one of the women's 10,000-meter,
Aliandrea Upshaw and
Gracelyn Larkin placed 11
th and 16
th. Upshaw ran an NAU school record time of 32:53.65 while Larkin ran a time of 33:07.20.
Meagan Van Pelt competed in section two of the women's 10,000-meter, placing 13
th with a personal best time of 34:09.49.
In section two of the women's 5,000-meter, NAU placed four in the top-6.
Annika Reiss placed first in the section after running a personal best time of 15:44.86.
Bryn Morley,
Nikita Moore, and
Karrie Baloga finished fourth, fifth, and sixth. Morley ran a personal best time of 15:54.47, with Moore running a personal best time of 15:54.69 and Baloga running a time of 15:56.76.
Keira Moore and
Ava Mitchell placed third and fourth, respectively, in section three of the women's 5,000-meter. Moore ran a time of 16:10.90 while Mitchell ran a time of 16:13.48.
Colin Sahlman and
Brodey Hasty took the top-2 spots in section two of the 5,000-meter. Sahlman ran a personal best time of 13:38.96, with Hasty close behind with a personal best time of 13:39.73.
Kang Nyoak placed sixth after running a time of 13:49.08, while
Zack Munson finished 15
th with a time of 13:58.39.
Terrence Keyes earned a new PR in section three of the 5,000-meter, placing third with a time of 13:53.12. Eric Le Roux also competed, finishing eighth with a personal best time of 13:58.85.
Caleb Easton and
Ford Washburn competed in section four of the men's 5,000-meter, with Easton placing eighth after running a personal best time of 13:56.48.
Ford Washburn finished 20th with a time of 14:14.81.
