FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 7, 2024) – The NAU women's tennis team will begin conference play this week as they travel to Ogden, Utah to face the Weber State Wildcats.
The Lumberjacks are coming off a strong weekend where they went 2-0 with wins over Utah Tech and No. 69 UNLV.
Daryna Shoshyna was named the Big Sky Player of the Week after she went 3-1 on the weekend and clinched the match against UNLV with her singles win on court three.
Last time NAU faced Weber State was in the finals of last year's Big Sky Championship. The 'Jacks fought hard but lost to the Wildcats 2-4.
This season, the Wildcats are 6-5 with wins over UTEP, Youngstown State, Utah Tech, Utah State, Portland State, and UC Riverside. Weber State has losses against New Mexico State, UNLV, No. 39 BYU, CSUN, and UC San Diego.
