Torres Reigns in Final Big Sky Player of the Week of the Regular Season

FARMINGTON, Utah (April 23, 2024) - Dani Torres led the Lumberjacks to the team's second-straight Big Sky regular season championship while finishing conference play with a 7-1 record and remaining undefeated in Flagstaff this season (8-0).
 
Torres' first victory against the Vandals came on the doubles courts with partner Maciej Ziomber as the two brought in a dominant 6-2 win over Idaho's pairing of Alex Asenov and Sebastian Medica. Torres went on the clinch the match in singles play at the No. 2 with a comeback victory over Taiyo Kurata in a 6-7 (7-9), 6-4, 6-4 final to give NAU the 4-2 lead.
 
Torres holds a singles record of 14-3 while maintaining a 13-5 doubles record for the Jacks. The Lumberjacks will now gear up for the Big Sky Tournament in Phoenix, Ariz. this Friday and Saturday following the first-round bye.
