FARMINGTON, Utah (November 17, 2025) – For the second consecutive week,
Kolbe Katsis earned recognition by the league office, however, this week for his offensive exploits. On Monday, Katsis was selected as Big Sky Co-Offensive Player of the Week after reaching the end zone three times in Northern Arizona's 35-27 win over Cal Poly.
Katsis shares the Offensive honor with Idaho State's Jordan Cooke. Montana State's Caden Dowler and Colby Frokjer were named Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week respectively.
A week after receiving the Special Teams award for his 100-yard kick return touchdown against Northern Colorado, Katsis earned his first career Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Senior Day was one to remember for the Owasso, Okla. native as he registered six receptions for 148 yards and three touchdowns, the latter of which were career-highs. He is the first Lumberjack with three receiving touchdowns in a game since Joe Logan in 2019.
Katsis' first score opened the game's scoring as
Ty Pennington found him from 6 yards out. Right before halftime, Katsis found the end zone for the second time on a 75-yard strike from Pennington, which marked his third reception of more than 50 yards this season.
The redshirt senior caught his third touchdown on NAU's first possession of the second half from 38 yards.
Katsis leads the team with 52 receptions, 933 yards receiving and nine touchdowns heading into Saturday's regular season finale at Weber State. He is aiming to become the first receiver to hit 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns in a season since Brandon Porter in 2019.
