THIBODAUX, La. (June 24, 2026) – Northern Arizona quarterback
Ty Pennington will be among 47 of the nation's top college quarterbacks converging on the campus of Nicholls State University for the 30th annual Manning Passing Academy this weekend.
Close to 1,500 prep quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends from across the country will be joined by more than 150 prep, college and professional coaches, counselors and staff members at the 30th installment of the premier football camp, to be held from June 25-28.
Pennington and his college quarterback peers will serve as camp counselors throughout the weekend, providing hands-on instruction and mentorship to the campers. Pennington will be among a group of counselors that include Trinidad Chambliss (Ole Miss), Arch Manning (Texas) and Julian Sayin (Ohio State).
Several current NFL quarterbacks including Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Jayden Daniels and Justin Herbert are Manning Passing Academy alumni, having attended as campers or counselors.
The Manning Passing Academy – owned and operated by Archie, Cooper, Peyton and Eli Manning – was founded in 1996 and started with just 185 campers. Although the camp has grown exponentially, its original mission of making the game more enjoyable for young athletes remains true three decades later. Each summer, the academy is an annual gathering place for many of college football's top players, who mentor the next generation.
Pennington is set to enter his final collegiate season this fall, ranked eighth in program history with 5,404 passing yards. He is also in the top 10 in career completions (438) and passing touchdowns (32), while ranking second in completion percentage (65.5%).
