FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 6, 2025) – NAU Women's Tennis is gearing up for two matches where they take on the Mesa Community College Thunderbirds. NAU will be playing two matches back-to-back on Saturday.
NAU is coming off of their first win of the season, where they swept Cal State Fullerton, 7-0. In that match against the Titans, the Lumberjacks only allowed Cal State Fullerton to take one set in the entire match.
In the match up against the Thunderbirds, these two have only met one prior time. Last time these teams played each other NAU got a 6-1 win during the 2019 season.
Daryna Shoshyna and Andrea Nougurea are the only Lumberjacks that are undefeated in singles as they picked up wins this season against Arizona, Cal Poly and Cal State Fullerton. Both players will be looking to send their winning streak to five in a row with these two matches against MCC.
NAU will Play the Thunderbirds on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. the match will take place at the Wall Aquatic and Tennis Complex, the match is free for the public to attend.
