CHENEY, Wash. (March 16, 2025) – The Lumberjacks claimed a dominant 7-0 road victory over the Eastern Washington Eagles this Sunday, winning their seventh-straight matchup while improving to 9-3 overall and 4-0 in Big Sky Conference play.
NAU took a clean sweep finish to their 2-0 road trip, taking the doubles point to start off the day's success.
Daryna Shoshyna and
Elen Jantacova earned the first doubles victory of the day at the No. 1, with a 6-4 final over Isabella Foshee and Kenzington Mann.
Andrea Noguera and
Leontina Stojanovic followed suit to take a 1-0 team lead with a 6-3 final at the No. 3 over Zoe Pradel and Olivia Marais.
In singles play, Noguera would earn the Jacks first victory at the No. 4 slot over Pradel once again, finishing the match at 6-4, 6-2. For the 3-0 lead,
Laura Duhl earned a 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 finish over EWU's Mann. Securing the victory, Shoshyna battles back from a 4-6 first set, finishing 6-1, 6-2 over Foshee.
Patryjca Niewiadomska picked up a three-set win over Leandra Nizetic, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4. Jantacova picked up a 6-3, 6-2 victory at the No. 5, followed by Stojanovic's 6-3, 6-3 final at the No. 6.
