FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 21, 2025) – The NAU Women's Tennis team will take on the Portland State Vikings on Sunday, March 23. The Lumberjacks will be seeking to move their winning streak to eight in a row with a victory over the Vikings.
NAU is coming off a win against the Grand Canyon Lopes, 7-0. Every Lumberjack won in singles by straight sets, with the exception of
Leontina Stojanovic who won in a third set 10-point tiebreaker, 2-6, 6-3, 10-6.
The Lumberjacks have an all-time winning record against Portland State at 14-1. The last matchup between the two schools resulted in a 6-1 win for NAU as that match was played in Flagstaff. The last time Portland State beat NAU was during the 2014 season, by a score of 6-1. The Lumberjacks are seeking to make it the 11th year in a row that they get a win against the Vikings.
The match against Portland State will be Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Wall Aquatic and Tennis Complex, the match is free for the public to attend.
