FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 6, 2025) – The NAU Women's Tennis team is looking to start 2-0 in the Big Sky, as they prepare to take on the Montana State Bobcats on Friday at 10 a.m. MST at the NAU Tennis Complex.
The Lumberjacks are coming off a victory over the New Mexico Lobos, backed by dominant performances from
Daryna Shoshyna and
Leontina Stojanovic, who both earned straight-set wins in singles play.
NAU is riding a two-match winning streak coming into the matchup against the Bobcats. Along with the two-match winning streak, the Lumberjacks are undefeated at home with a 4-0 record. Those wins came against Cal State Fullerton, Mesa Community College, which NAU grabbed victories over twice, followed by the win over New Mexico.
Andrea Nogura has a solid record in singles at 7-1, thus far in the season, she has picked up wins against players from Arizona, Cal Poly and Wyoming.
The Lumberjacks have a winning record against Montana State all-time at 13-1. The one loss to the Bobcats came during the 2024 season when NAU was one point short of winning, 4-3.
