Gans Creek, Missouri. (September 24, 2025)-Â The Northern Arizona men's and women's cross country teams return to action this Friday, September 26, at the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Missouri.
This year's meet also serves as a preview of the NCAA Championships course, making it a valuable opportunity for NAU to get a feel for the layout under race conditions. With numerous nationally ranked programs in the field, the Gans Creek Classic is set to deliver a true championship-level atmosphere, an ideal test for the Lumberjacks at this stage of the season.
The meet will feature both the Black and Gold Invitational races. The Gold sections serve as the premier, championship-caliber races, bringing together many of the nation's top-ranked teams and athletes. The Black sections act as secondary fields, giving programs the opportunity to race additional athletes and build depth in a competitive setting.
