FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (January 28, 2026) – The Northern Arizona women's tennis team will play its first home matches of the 2026 season this weekend, hosting New Mexico State and Air Force. The Lumberjacks will face the Aggies on Friday, Jan. 30 and the Falcons on Sunday, Feb. 1. Both matches will begin at 10 a.m. MST and are free and open for the public to attend at the NAU Tennis Center.
NAU opened its season on the road on Jan. 19 in Tucson, Ariz. against the Wildcats. The Lumberjacks fell 6-1, with junior
Natalie Rainke picking up a win in singles on court three.
New Mexico State has begun its spring 0-2, with losses coming at the hands of Oregon, 4-0, and Idaho 4-3 on the road. The Aggies completed 2025 with a 13-9 record, falling in the Conference USA Championship match to FIU.
Air Force is also seeking its first win of the spring campaign, currently sitting at 0-3. The Falcons fell on the road to Southern Methodist, 6-1, No. 2 Texas A&M, 7-0, and Colorado, 4-0. Air Force went 12-14 in 2025, falling in the Mountain West semifinals to UNLV.
The Aggies and Falcons will also play a neutral match in the NAU Tennis Center on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. MST.
