Williams and Dasovich Grab Career-Bests in Loss to Eagles

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (January 29, 2026)Kayla Williams scored 32 points on 10-of-12 shooting as the Northern Arizona women's basketball team fell to Eastern Washington, 93-87 on Thursday afternoon on Findlay Toyota Court inside the Walkup Skydome.

Williams' 32 points are a season-high and the third time a Lumberjack has reached the 30 point mark this season. The senior also went a perfect 9-of-9 from the line and pulled down three rebounds. Naomi White produced 21 points, five boards and three steals for her 14th contest this season with at least 20 points, while Madison Watts contributed another efficient effort, going for 14 points on 6-of-11 from the floor, in addition to pulling down five rebounds and dishing three assists. Emma Dasovich went for nine points and a career-high eight assists in just under 30 minutes of action.

Elyn Bowers scored 26 points and pulled down six rebounds to pace Eastern Washington (11-10, 4-4 Big Sky), while Kourtney Grossmans secured a double-double by way of 19 points and 13 boards.

NAU (7-15, 3-6 Big Sky) shot a season-high 55% from beyond the arc but allowed 46 points in the paint and only grabbed eight points off EWU's 14 turnovers while the Eagles scored 15 points off 15 NAU miscues.

The 'Jacks got off to a red-hot start, shooting 73.3% from the floor in the first quarter to lead 9-4 at the 8:18 mark of the period. A 7-0 run from the Eagles swung momentum in the visitor's favor, but the first half would see four ties and six lead changes as NAU went into the break trailing 46-40.

Each team began cold from the floor to start the second half, as NAU found itself trailing by two and 11 throughout the third period. The Jacks were able to keep it close in the final period but got stuck exchanging baskets and were forced to foul down the stretch to extend the game. Although NAU was able to force a few turnovers and extra opportunities, the clock ran out before it was able to close the gap.

Next, NAU will travel north to face Idaho this weekend on Saturday, Jan. 31. Tipoff with the Vandals is scheduled for 2 p.m. MST and will be streamed on ESPN+.
