OGDEN, Utah (January 8, 2026) – Behind a career-high 37 points from Naomi White, the Northern Arizona women's basketball team powered past Weber State, 71-58, on Thursday evening inside the Dee Evans Center. NAU moves to 6-10 and 2-1 in Big Sky Conference action and wins its third straight on the road, while Weber State moves to 6-10 and 0-3 in league games.

White tallied her points on 13-of-24 shooting, including 9-of-14 from beyond the arc. The nine triples set a new program single-game record in made 3-pointers, previously held by four Lumberjacks with eight, and last set by Kenna McDavis in 2018. The 37 points are also tied for fifth-most in a game in program history, last set by Lacey Tolbert in 2004.

Simone Morris also produced a season-best 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting and collected eight boards in just under 26 minutes of action. NAU was outrebounded 43-38 but turned 29 Wildcat turnovers into 28 points and held edges in second-chance (14-9) and fast break points (14-4). The Lumberjacks also held Weber State to 3-of-23 (13%) from beyond the arc for the game and did not allow a triple in the first half.

Both sides got off to a disorganized start, as the opening period saw a combined 16 turnovers. Weber State owned its largest lead of the contest at 12-9 late in the first quarter, but NAU would outscore the Wildcats 23-13 the rest of the first half to lead 32-25 at the break. Antoniette Emma-Nnopu led the Wildcats with a double-double in the opening 20 minutes by way of 13 points and 10 rebounds but was held to just three points in the second half.

NAU built a double-digit lead in the third period thanks to 16 points from White, as well as 57.1% shooting from the floor in the quarter. The Lumberjacks did not let Weber State get within 16 points and led by as many as 19 in the final ten minutes as they cruised to the win.

With the victory, head coach Laura Dinkins moves to 9-1 in her overall career against Weber State, while NAU has now won 16 in a row against the Wildcats. Tonight, White also becomes the first and only freshman in the nation with at least 50 3-pointers on the season.
