ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (February 21, 2026) – Patrycja Niewiadomska,
Elen Jantacova, and
Natalie Rainke collected wins in singles play as the Northern Arizona women's tennis team fell to New Mexico, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon at McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium.
NAU moves to 1-3 on the season while New Mexico improves to 7-2.
The Lobos clinched the doubles point on court three and two, leaving Jantacova and Rainke in a 5-4 lead on court one.
New Mexico grabbed another point on court six in a straight-sets victory, before Niewiadomska got NAU's on the board with her win in straight sets on court one. As the Lobos grabbed another point by retirement on court five,
Andrea Noguera fought in a tiebreaker in the first set of her match on court two but fell in straight sets as New Mexico clinched with a 4-1 lead.
The Lumberjacks did end the day on a high note, as Jantacova and Rainke won their matches on courts four and three, respectively, to finish the contest in a 4-3 decision.
Niewiadomska's 6-0 win in set two is her fourth bagel on the season.
