Women’s Tennis Looks to Start Big Sky Play 1-0

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 27, 2026) - The Northern Arizona women's tennis team travels to Ogden, Utah this weekend to take on the Weber State Wildcats in their first Big Sky Matchup of the season. Opening serve in Ogden will be on Sunday, March 1 at 10 a.m. MST.

The Lumberjacks bring a 1-3 record into this contest, following a 4-3 decision at New Mexico last weekend. NAU will look to grab its first win on the road this season in the second of a stretch of four contests away from Flagstaff.

NAU fairs well against the Wildcats as it lead the all-time series 18-3, but have struggled as of late, with two of the three losses coming in the last three years. Last season, the Lumberjacks swept the Wildcats, 7-0 in Flagstaff en route to their undefeated regular season in Big Sky play.

Weber State will enter their first Big Sky Matchup seeking its first win of the season as the Wildcats sit with an 0-7 record.

The Lumberjacks' Patrycja Niewiadomska is currently riding a three-match winning streak at the No. 1 position in singles, with her only loss coming against Arizona in NAU's first match of the season on Jan. 19.
