NAU Continues Homestand with Idaho State and Eastern Washington this Week

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 25, 2026) – The Northern Arizona women's tennis team continues a three-match homestand this week, welcoming Idaho State and Eastern Washington. The Lumberjacks will face the Bengals on March 26 and the Eagles on March 28, with both matches beginning at 10 a.m. MST at the NAU Outdoor Tennis Courts. There will be raffles to win NAU Tennis merchandise at each match, with community hours following the conclusion of the match against ISU.

The Lumberjacks bring a 3-5 record into this week, including a 2-1 mark in Big Sky contests. NAU most recently took a 6-1 win over Portland State on March 22 and will look to win back-to-back matches for the first time this season on Thursday.

Senior Patrycja Niewiadomska leads the way for the Jacks, as she owns a 6-2 record playing exclusively at the No. 1 position this season. Natalie Rainke follows closely with a 5-3 record, playing on court two, three, and four.
After starting the year 0-4, Idaho State has won eight consecutive matches to stand at 8-4 on the season and 2-0 in league contests. Two Bengals are riding eight-match wins streaks in singles in Millie Day and Stefanya Shalakhova. The Lumberjacks will aim to continue their dominance over the Bengals, as they lead the all-time series 16-1.

Eastern Washington sits at 8-6 on the season, including a 2-1 mark in Big Sky action. The Eagles have dropped two in a row, most recently 4-0 to #74 Washington State. NAU will be the first conference road match for the Eagles, who are 3-2 in contests away from Cheney, and will look to win its eight straight over EWU.
